Maria has been a teaching artist for over twenty-five years.  A Professor in Acting at California State University Fullerton in The Department of Theatre & Dance, Maria studied and taught under Uta Hagen’s tutelage at HB Studio, NYC. She has also taught at AMDA, NYC, USC School of Cinema and Television and other southern California universities. As a teaching artist, she continues to do theatre and television, write and direct. You might recognize her from her recurring role, Mona Clarke on ABC’s Desperate Housewives and Allie’s Mom on FOX’s New Girl.
