Mental health disorders in children were rising at an alarming rate, even before the pandemic. While it is difficult to identify a singular cause, there is an urgent need to recognize and respond to the children’s mental health crisis.

This two-part webinar series will help pastoral leaders, ministers, and teachers to respond to children and families with compassion, support, and hope.

The second webinar will identify ways to manage anxiety and increase resiliency in children.  A framework for a pastoral response to those with mental health conditions will be shared along with an accompaniment approach to building a network of support to help children to thrive.

Speaker:  Dr. Dobie Moser

Dr. Dobie Moser has a degree in education from Indiana University of PA, an M.A. in Family Systems Counseling from Mt. St. Joseph University, and a Doctorate in Leadership from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He has been a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee and has trained thousands of educators and pastoral leaders in schools and parishes. He and his wife Lisa started the Metal Health Ministry at St. Ambrose Church in Brunswick, OH and they have two children with serious mental illness. They also serve as companions to refugees and persons struggling on the margins.
