From egg drops and tower builds to book clubs, debates, recipes, and logic puzzles, classrooms are full of tried-and-true activities—and there is a reason they are some of our favorite activities to implement with students. But even engaging activities can sometimes fall short when it comes to depth, complexity, authentic problem solving, and product creation.
In this interactive webinar, we’ll become Reimagineers—educators who look at familiar learning experiences through new lenses. Using the Depth & Complexity framework, we will explore how to transform familiar classroom learning activities into rich, multidisciplinary learning experiences grounded in real places, real people, and real events.
Instruction should take students on a journey, connecting content and concepts to current events, global issues, and the ever-present “But why?” questions our young minds always ask.
Participants will dig into examples of reimagined lessons across subject areas and grade levels, have time to rethink some of their own tried-and-true activities, and engage in meaningful discussion, questions, and idea sharing with fellow educators. They’ll leave with ready-to-use ideas and practical tools to become a true Reimagineer. The goal isn’t to throw away what already works. It’s to reframe it!
